What Survived The Storms was created on top of another piece I began and then resented. I went to the art store and got a few new oil stick colors and suddenly the blues and purples were covering the entire canvas in an entirely new landscape. My spouse referred to it at first as “it looks like a tempest!” Which it does. It reminds me of hope. Of the glimmers and stars amongst the dark. The mountains laying in wait for exploration just before the horizon. A million beautiful things that survived all the storms.
